It\u2019s been over 200 years since Testa\u2019s ships have sailed in the Sicilian sea looking for red tuna and bluefish.
\nAn ancient tradition made of strenght and effort, dedition and capacity to forecast the future such as the orizont, in which the experience and the passion are sent from generation to generation.<\/p>\n
Their history is linked to Ognina, Ulysse\u2019s ancient port, from which Testa have always put their sails on the sea, with the benediction of the Vergin of the marinar borough, “A Bammina”, a consacrated statue which is brought every year in procession into the sea.<\/p>\n
Of Testa family there are traces inside the church archives: this means that the fishing activity covers a period of time that goes from sailing to the use of the most modern technologies, only since the ’50s have been arrived the first ships with an engine and since the ’70s, to the fishinf og blue fish has been joined the fishing of tuna.
